Chamber Music Performances

The Ardeton Ensemble are a collective of professional string players providing first class chamber music performance across the UK. Formed in 2001, they continue to go from strength to strength with an every-stronger audience. They specialise in varied programmes, and have in previous years performed as a string trio, oboe quartet, piano quintet, clarinet quintet, as well as their standard string quartet combination.

The group specialise in lecture-recitals, putting the audience immediately at ease, and offering insights both to the historical contexts of the works they are playing and the individual challenges the works pose to each of the players.

Recent years have seen the group playing at festivals across the UK, and also in Norway. They also have a highly-regarded education and outreach programme, which includes keystage 1 & 2 workshops, GCSE and A-Level performance classes and composition workshops, as well as presentations suitable for adult groups too!
