On a wet Rutland evening, the Ardeton Ensemble performed to a full Oakham Castle audience. With informal introductions and insights to the pieces from Rob Bell and Dury Loveridge, the evening allowed for an intimate performance of the Weber and the Dvorak, with many learning new historical perspectives on the works.

2006 saw the Ardeton Ensemble working as a clarinet quintet, working with clarinettist Robert Bell. Highlights of the year included performing the Brahms Clarinet Quintet at the Oakham Festival.
2005
saw the Ardeton Ensemble perform concerts across the UK both as a
String Trio and as an Oboe Quartet with Julie
Payne. There were concerts in the
Chew Valley and in Clifton, Bristol, including works such as the
Schubert String Trio and the Mozart and Britten Oboe Quartets. The
concerts also provided an opportunity for audiences to hear
members of the group perform solo items such as the music from Schindler’s
List, and Bach Solo Cello Suites.
Highlights of the Summer were performances in Manchester and at
the Pulse Fringe Festival in Ipswich, both of which were warmly
received by audiences.
The group also took part in an education workshop with A-level and
GCSE music students in composition.
